What Can Be Done?

Since transitioning to clean, renewable energy has not kept pace with global warming, it is imperative to emphasize both preparation and transition. Preparation (i.e., Climate Emergency Actions and Climate Disaster Preparedness) and transition (i.e., the shift to clean, renewable energy) are interdependent and inseparable, and they are literally two sides of the same coin. Preparation shields us from extreme weather events while we transition to clean, renewable energy. The costs of preparation and transition are unquestionably substantial. Let us not, however, be "penny wise and pound foolish." Those unquestionable costs are just a very small fraction of the progressive and exponential costs associated with climate change and/or Climate Collapse. To use a medical analogy, when all climate-related symptoms are considered, Planet Earth is very likely in Stage 1 Climate Collapse.
